Well that was fun...

Ok I am not one to complain but you would thing that if a company was going to setup a bunch of computer in a rack, that is damn near impossible to get the side panels off after it is in place, that they would label or at least have a plan as to what ups/network jack/kvm assignment the servers are using...

It took me the better part of 2 days to track the network and power cables from the tangle of wires that is in the back of their racks, but now they have a nice document that will go unused when they add or subtract from the racks...

One more thing on my little rant for today. If you want me to build systems for you and test applications to find out whey they are not working, would it not make sense to at least give me an account that has access to the domain enough to do my job? Hell, they are using Active Directory just break down the rights you want me to have and do it that way.

And another thing... If you don't document how applications get installed don't get all pissy with me if they are not installed the way you want them to be... jesh what am I now a mind reader?
